A pair of ormolu-mounted blue céleste ground sevres-style porcelain phoenix-tail shape vases, the globular part is painted with amorous couples in wooded landscape on Watteaue manner, within gilt scrollwork cartouche and flanked by upright foliate scrolled handles elongated with acanthus leaf, the nozzle is surmounted with ormolu foliate pierced rim, raised on an engraved square canted ormolu plinth on eight feet.
